ARVADA, Colo. (Dec. 31, 2015) — TechLaw Holdings, Inc., has acquired Summit Technical Resources, Inc., a provider of specialized environmental services, primarily in defense-related support activities. Under the terms of the private transaction, Summit, based in Arvada, Colo., will become a division of TechLaw Holdings. Summit will merge with TLI Solutions, Inc., a TechLaw Holdings subsidiary, pending U.S. government contract novation approval, expected later in 2016.
“I’m looking forward to having Summit become part of the TechLaw family,” says Brian Shutler, President of TechLaw Holdings. “Summit enjoys an excellent industry reputation, and their expertise will make us a much more technically robust player in the environmental field. This is an important part of our plan to expand our services in the years ahead.”
Founded in 1999, Summit (www.summitusa.net) employs 35 people, providing engineering, environmental science, and project management support for private and public-sector clients, including the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Department of Energy, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the US General Services Administration. The company has grown steadily, most recently joining with TLI Solutions in 2015 to capture a five-year, $70 million contract to lead munitions and hazardous waste cleanup at the Pueblo Chemical Depot for the US Army Corps of Engineers—effectively doubling Summit’s annual revenue. The company also has offices in Boulder and Pueblo in Colorado, and in Oak Ridge, Tenn.,
“Combining with TLI Solutions makes sense for our company and our people,” says Dan Reeder, President and co-founder of Summit. “We already work well together, and I believe the resources of TechLaw Holdings will provide us with even more business opportunities in the future.”
Reeder and Summit co-founder and vice president Michael Anderson will become vice presidents at TLI Solutions, reporting to Shutler. The company will continue to maintain all its offices.
The McLean Group advised Summit with this transaction.
